  • Condition: This model is factory sealed in original cello. The cello is mostly complete and intact, but for about a 6" u shaped tear on cover. The piece is still attached (barely) and mates perfectly with no cello loss. The cover has some cello stretch marks and light wrinkling. It has clearly never been removed from cello. There are 2 small old paper price markers, soiled and faded. Minor cello soiling from age. Cover is slightly depressed on left side mostly, typical with shrink wrapped models. There are a few small edge dings and overall wear.

    I am pleased to offer this old and original, MPC, 72 Dodge Van, model #1-7229. There is no copyright date on box, but must be from 1971 because the Dan Gurney Kit Contest Idea Contest closes January 1972. This model is factory sealed in original cello. The cello is mostly complete and intact, but for about a 6" u shaped tear on cover. The piece is still attached (barely) and mates perfectly with no cello loss. The cover has some cello stretch marks and light wrinkling. It has clearly never been removed from cello. There are 2 small old paper price markers, soiled and faded. Minor cello soiling from age. I could not find another example of this box, so perhaps it is scarce. A nice model with great display potential. The photos are an integral part of my description.
