This auction is for
1
standard size bushing
(freehub not included)
Finally a simple bushing (made in the USA) you can replace rather than having to buy an entire new free hub. This plastic bushing simply pushes down and then snaps into place where the old bushing now exists.
This requires only common hand tools to replace it
, and it is a relatively simple task.
Plus our bushing are
not
completely round along the outside where it snaps into the freehub. Instead it was designed with
4 slightly raised tabs
that snap in place making installation of the bushing completely trouble free and very easy. You dont need any special tools or vice to do it, unlike other bushings you may find.
We include a full page of step by step instructions.
This bushing is standard size and has the same clearance as factory
one has.
This works great for a wheelset with less then 3000 miles on it. It makes your freehub feel as tight as a new one, A tight cassette means better power transfer and
cleaner more positive shifting
.
We also sell a
.003 oversized
version of this bushing on our other auctions. It works great for hubs with advanced wear.
Our bushing is made from a
SELF LUBRICATED MATERIAL
t
hat will
extend your service intervals
. It has a
PV16,000
(the higher the better),
wear factor (K) 4
(the lower the better)
coefficient to friction .12,
moisture absorption .5
This bushing fits
:
FTS-L
and
FTS-X
hubs which are found on all top of the line mavic wheels from very early 2000's through current. Some include
Crossmax :SL, ST , SX, SLR, XL , Mavic Ksyrium, Cosmic, Carbone, Helium ,Classics Pro, Mavic 29er, Crossland, Crossride
. Any road bikes or mountain bikes with the FTS-L or FTS-X hubs will also work.
If you are unsure if your current bushing is getting worn, wiggle the cassette back and forth. If it moves more the the width of a nickle it is getting worn to the point where shifting performance will start to suffer.
Don't confuse our bushing with other ones. Our bushing is made with a very high tolerance unlike our competition who states in thier instructions
:
you may have to sand their bushing to get a proper fit so the freehub will spin freely.
He also claims his bushings are "
Now with 10% longer length and 50% thicker flange, fits perfectly and is twice as dense as the competition and much stiffer."
Our bushings
have always been the right size
, with the proper sized flange, plus they are easier to install, with no special tools or vice needed. Our bushings are also very stiff and dense (not that it matters at all for this application).
This action is for the bushing only!! The
freehub
in the first pic is to show fit only, it is
not included!!
