This item in my EBAY store is a DUGAN  "DAHLIA"  PURPLE CARNIVAL GLASS LARGE HANDLED FOOTED WATER PITCHER.    This DUGAN "DAHLIA" large handled water pitcher is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age is now a beautiful family heirloom piece of glass, this DUGAN purple "DAHLIA" pitcher that I have here is in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches and no glass staining;   This DUGAN purple "DAHLIA" water pitcher is just the way this pitcher left the DUGAN-DIAMOND GLASS COMPANY many years ago, this pitcher looks as though it was ever used in its day;   I may also add that this DUGAN  "DAHLIA"  PURPLE CARNIVAL GLASS LARGE HANDLED FOOTED WATER PITCHER is an early DUGAN vintage antique carnival glass "DAHLIA" pitcher that has been used and displayed over many years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition, surely the couple of people who have once owned this American beauty surely cherished this piece of DUGAN antique glass according to the condition this DUGAN purple "DAHLIA"  water pitcher remains in today;   This DUGAN purple carnival glass water pitcher that I have here does have the early carnival glass era characteristics of the early carnival glass production process having stress marks, straw marks and air bubbles sometimes seen inside the glass of early carnival glass, these characteristics I've just mentioned to you are and can be seen in my photos of this DUGAN purple "DAHLIA" pitcher that I have here, these characteristics are from the production of this beautiful purple "DAHLIA" water picher and is NOT considered damage, any questions at all please e-mail me;   As you can see the handle is pressed into this "DAHLIA" pattern, this is NOT an applied handle, there are NO heat checks or cracks anywhere this handle is pressed into this "DAHLIA" pattern on this beautiful purple pitcher, I have photos showing around this handle, all four feet are shown having no damage (the fancy pattern around these four feet is fabulous to this beautiful "DAHLIA" pattern), no damage around the top of this water pitcher, OH, don't forget to look at how the very top of this pitcher is also iridized, and no damage around the puring lip;   It did not matter what angle or position I photographed this purple "DAHLIA" pitcher the beautiful COLOR and IRIDESCENCE can be seen in my numerous photos taken after all............. it is all about the COLOR and IRIDESCENCE, quite a beautiful purple "DAHLIA" pitcher I have here;   You can see this much sought after DUGAN  "DAHLIA"  carnival glass pattern in one of my many reference materials, one is a hard back book by "Edwards & Carwile" a book on carnival glass, the "STANDARD ENCYCLOPEDIA of CARNIVAL GLASS 7th EDITION, on page #93;   I've taken numerous (all) photos outside in natural daylight in different backgrounds in numerous angles and positions to show pattern, COLOR, condition, carnival glass IRIDESCENCE and size hoping to answer any and all questions but if need be you can E-mail me or you can see me on my NEW web site at terrymackeyantiques.com.   When using a cell phone or mobile device please click on "see full description" to see more photos and measurements;   Insurance is bought at the USPS at the time of shipment to you, the cost is .25 for the shipping and .75 for the insurance, any over paid shipping cost will be returned to you the BUYER;   All stickers on MY DUGAN  "DAHLIA"  purple carnival glass large handled footed water pitcher sent to you must remain on MY DUGAN  "DAHLIA"  purple carnival glass large handled footed water pitcher for any glass return, NO exceptions!           Inventory  #462A       5/11/2021                   Bldg lower level left side shelving.              Please read my BIO on my NEW web site.              Will ship International mail when Buyer request shipping cost thru EBAY.
