This is a collectible Limited Edition Disney Cardew "Alice in Wonderland"
te
apot. The design incorporates Alice, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and the Dormouse on top of the teapot. The sides of the teapot depict two different scenes of the White Rabbit. The markings on the bottom state: Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland By P. Cardew; Cardew Design; Disney; Limited Edition 2627/5000 and is dated 24/9/96.
The teapot was designed by Master Potter Paul Cardew in his studio in the Devon countryside in England. He is acknowledged as the foremost designer of
collectible
teapots in the world today. The teapot is hand cast and decorated, and twice fired in a production process
that
takes five days.
CONDITION:
This item has been previously displayed, and is in good condition. The teapot has some crazing, a small piece on the back of the Mad Hatter's jacket is missing. The item is a meant for decor, not to be used as a working teapot
. Original box is in great condition. Please see photos.
